Oil Recovery

Admiral Thad Allen, retiring U.S. Coast Guard commandant, was appointed to oversee the response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. For the same project, Specialty Diving was contacted by British Petroleum, and soon after leased two of its vessels to the company to document the long-term effects of the spill on the ocean's ecosystem.

Work for Major Pipeline Companies


Specialty Offshore has serviced major pipeline companies since 1997. Its work has included a variety of tasks such as laying ground cables, assessment of cathodic protection systems (including anode replacements), pipeline jetting, inspections, repairs and maintenance work and live boating. Specialty works in depths up to 300 feet.

Work for Major Oil and Gas Companies


Specialty Offshore has serviced major oil and gas companies since 1997. Some of its projects have included: Level I, II and III inspections on TLP(s), conduit replacement, and overall inspection of piping and flanges on the pontoon. Other work for its Gulf of Mexico clientele has involved pipeline placement, inspections, maintenance, repairs and abandonment.
